Pastor And Author Donell Morgan On This Week's Edition Of Journey Of Hope With Rodney Mathers

Pastor Donnel Morgan started his adult life in Louisiana's infamous Angola prison with a sentence that would have kept him there his entire life. Things didn't turn out that way though. He his now an author and successful minister of God.

How did he get from Angola to a successful life? Donnel Morgan's life story is fascinating for ex-offenders as it is full of ideas and suggestions on overcoming the worst kinds of adversity. He tells his story during his interview on this week's edition of the show.

"In every story of a man or women that has been able to put prison behind them and become a productive member of society, there is always some little tid-bit of advice or some idea I can put to use in my situation. It is my hope that my listeners are able to also get some ideas from stories like Donell's." states Journey of Hope host, Rodney Mathers.

Ellen Allen Discusses Co Dependency Issues On this Week's Journey Of Hope With Rodney Mathers

Hello and welcome tho this week's edition of Journey of Hope With Rodney Mathers

Are you preparing for a friend or a loved one to return home from incarceration? If you are in that situation, this show is for you. Rodney's special guest this week, Ellen Allen, has written a book called IF YOU CHANGE THE WORDS YOU CHANGE THE MEANING.

Her book is about co-dependency and the ways in which we can keep from falling into the role of an enabler.

Many, if not most ex-offenders, have addiction issues and Ellen has examined how the role of loved ones and friend can help to keep the ex-offender in a position to where the decisions they make - good or bad - are solely THEIR decisions.

The Horrific car wreck she was in while attending Boston University left two of her friends dead. When she awoke six days later from a coma, she had to learn absolutely everything over again.

My guest this week is author Darcy Keith. Darcy has been to the deepest depths of adversity and found the secrets to overcoming. Her story is absolutely amazing. We as ex-offenders can pull ideas from her struggles as we seek to find the footing to have full and productive futures.

Want a successful life?

My guest this week, Ric Morgan claims to have the keys and his ideas are are very interesting. Ric inquired about being on the show and after looking at what he has to offer to ex-offenders, I had to book him. Ric's message is extremely powerful for ex-offenders looking for ideas that help advance their lives and put incarceration behind them. I urge you to listen to what he has to say because I think what you are going to find will immediately impact your thinking.

We used to be skeptical about hypnotherapy...not any more. Our guest this week, David A. Blender is a clinical hypnotherapist that specializes in addressing issues that ex-offenders most commonly struggle with. Self-esteem, positive life change, and addiction have proven to be areas that David can successfully address through his therapeutic techniques. We have a great discussion about the effectiveness of hypnotherapy to address post incarceration issues on this week's episode.

Journey of Hope With Rodney Mathers (48)

Let's face it. There is nothing you or I can do to change the fact that we have been to prison. This is a fact of our history and there is nothing we can do to change that fact. My guest this week, Marc Lerner, calls that an "uncontrollable fact".

Marc Lerner has developed ways to excel in life despite these sorts of "uncontrollable facts". His interview with me is full of absolutely fantastic ideas along these lines.
