An often overlooked aspect of the incarceration process is the the family members that must take the full load of responsibility while their loved one is locked-up. A spouse will in fact have to function as a single parent if there are children envolved.

She is now the CEO and founder of an organization called SMOOTH (Single Mothers Overcoming Our True Hurt), and the Author of Secret Struggles of The Single Mother
